Monday was a beautiful day at the lake! The boat started up great and I headed across the lake to pick up Pam, Trent and Alex for a fun day on the lake. I parked at the Spillway and waited for them. Once they arrived, we started the boat to leave...or should I say...the boat wouldn't start! Not even a putter! Trent went to the engine hull and practically stuck half his body in there to bang on the solenoid. Maybe some of you men know what that is! We made him get out of the engine hull because we thought he would be electrocuted! I called a mechanic and miraculously he agreed to come over. In the meantime, Trent checked the fuses under the dash to see which one shorted out. We thought his legs looked funny coming out from under the dash! Thank you Trent for doing your best to get us going again. The mechanic fixed the boat and we were on our way. We grilled hamburgers and ate the rest of the wedding cake from Pam's other son's wedding. What a wonderful afternoon at the lake with good friends!
I have a new toy! My new Canon Rebel T1i. It takes HD video through "live view" mode! I am very excited about that feature, but am also excited to find that my telephoto lens from my previous slr camera fits this camera also. The camera has so many features and most seem to be user friendly. I have taken some pictures using the different settings and it is so much fun to explore the many options! Canon cameras are the best in my opinion for the average photographer due to their ease of use and also, if they need repair, the turn around time is fast if you mail it directly to Canon.
My first time to use my new camera was at my friend, Pam, son's wedding over the weekend. The wedding was in Hot Springs on Lake Hamilton. Here are some of the pictures I took with my new camera.
I am young at heart. An animal lover. I am in love with my Husky, Kota. Love being at the lake on my pontoon boat! Summer is my favorite time of year! I have 2 beautiful grown children and a great son-in-law and beautiful new daughter-in-law.
